Well, no, you don't need one, but it sure is helpful! A content calendar keeps you from scrambling and creating those last minute posts that fall flat. Do you ever find yourself panicking because its Friday at 6pm and you haven't made a post in the last 3 days and you NEED to make a damn post?! Yah, those ones don't usually perform well.

A content calendar makes life easier...well, on social media anyway. By planning your

content ahead of time, you don't have to think twice about what you're posting today, because you planned it and hopefully scheduled it too, last week.

Creating a content calendar ensures you plan for holidays, giveaways, drops, important events, etc. You can also plan the aesthetic and layout of your feed, if so inclined.

Did you read last weeks post on Content Pillars? If not, go back and read that post too. Content pillars and your calendar go hand in hand. Once you know your content pillars it is easy peasy to create and plan content.

With a content calendar you can plan as much or as little as you want. You can include the photos you intend to use, you can write the caption, you can indicate which platform it will go on, which pillar it falls under, the keywords or hashtags you want to use.

Once you know your pillars and you create a content calendar, you are basically unstoppable! Okay, maybe not, but your social media is going to be a lot less work and become much for cohesive and focused.

Want to create a content calendar? Want some help with it? Maybe you just want to use the digital content calendar I have created. Click the box below or email honeyloungevintage@gmail.com for more info.
